About Us

Nerds Sure

Change Sciences was founded in January 2000 with the idea that companies can optimize key business processes by basing technology decisions on how people live, work, and play.

We have helped companies as diverse as J.P. Morgan Chase, Scholastic, and General Electric understand how interactive services affect the lives of customers and employees.

Our goal is simple: Provide results people can use to make changes that matter.

By grounding development in the experiences people have, Change Sciences helps its clients develop products that make sense to customers, employees, and partners, adding business value and building long-term brand loyalty.

Through our benchmarking work we identify web site design and operational best practices. Through our services we help our customers monitor, assess and improve the strength of their web presence. Contact us and tell us about your challenges. Chances are we can help.

Change Sciences is privately held.

Questions You May Have

Q: Why do companies hire you?

A: Companies hire us because they want somebody on the outside to evaluate where they stand when planning or executing changes to an interactive technology. It might be an intranet portal or a site with a million visitors a day.

They want somebody who has a deep understanding of their industry as well as deep knowledge of the limits and possibilities of current interactive technologies.

We think they like how easy it is to work with us too.

Q: How are you different from everyone else out there who builds web sites?

A: Building web sites is easy. Building them right is hard. Why? Because a lot of things can go wrong along the way.

A web site is not just HTML. It is a complex reflection of the people who work on it and the assumptions we make about who will use it. We help you get these assumptions right and translate them into pages and processes that work.

Q: Do you do visual design?

A: Sure. But we don't think of it as anything that can be separated from the other work we do. Because real web design isn't just look and feel. In fact it mostly isn't.

We think good design is driven from a deep understanding of human cognitive and physiological abilities.

So if you're looking to throw a new 'skin' on your site we're probably not for you...
